While coming into the class there would at least be something for me to do for both kindergarten teachers Mrs.Villa and Mrs. Mangosing. Contributing for their Kindergarten promotion helping out the class with dance they were rehearsing and their three songs they were singing to their parents. Or helping in class work that students had questions about or needed help or wanted me to go over it with them and check it off. Also by sending me off to the copy room to get copies of worksheets for next year students. I think throughout my whole time interning at the elementary school and made a big contribution by helping the teachers and also helping students with their work that they needed help on. This experience was meaningful to because it meant to be a leader and a role model to others while spending my time in the class. |
Blog Post 10#: Friday, June 2nd:
Interning at and elementary school gave me a appreciation of what teachers go with their students how patient they are. It was all eye opening being there and observing their daily routine is like. By being at internship teachers would give me advice if I ever wanted to become a teacher and even going to college. Also set an example for other show they wanted to be treated and helping them out. I think that it changed a lot knowing that in the little time that I have left knowing what I want to set my mind and study in college and perhaps do as a living job in the future. It made me really think about all these different options that I can go to. Originally having my made up set in stone of becoming forensic photographer and coming into a elementary school just thinking to myself just going to intern here. The more I was here made me open up backup plans if what happens if becoming a forensic photographer didn't go my way. Reconsidering of becoming a kindergartner teacher is something I would also like to do, it was eye opening for me coming to that conclusion. From switching out from an internship the coming into a elementary school was really different. But it also opened my eye on things of my career/path to the future. If things don't go my way of becoming a forensic photographer what I want to achieve in I'm looking to becoming a kindergarten teacher as a backup. Coming in as high school intern it was eye opening getting to experience this as a career possibility that we wanted to do. Gave us a look into our future of what it would be like. |
